Video Conferencing - the Next Best Thing to a Face to Face Conversation

These days it's certainly not uncommon for businesses to operate on a global scale, and more and more companies are establishing their presence in various countries all of the time. While this can lead to significant advancements and success for many businesses, it can also potentially lead to issues regarding effective communication. This is because it's not always possible or cost-effective to hold face-to-face meetings and conversations. However, strong relationships and solid connections are vital to the survival and success of any business. As a result, it's important to be able to communicate effectively and to engage other people even when not in the same location. Fortunately, thanks to technological advancements, businesses can now make use of video conferences, the next best thing to face-to-face conversations.

Video conferencing solutions use interactive telecommunications technologies to allow people in different locations to connect with each other through real-time video and audio transmissions. It can be used to connect people in two locations or in multiple different locations. Video meetings that take place between only two people are known as point-to-point conferences while meetings involving several locations are known as multi-point conferences. In the latter type of case, a Multipoint Control Unit serves as a bridge to interconnect video calls coming in from several different locations. By allowing participants to both see and hear each other in real-time, video conferencing solution provide a way to experience live conversations without being situated in the same physical location.

While face-to-face conversations may still be necessary in certain circumstances, video conferences will often provide an excellent alternative to on-site meetings. As a result, video meetings have the potential to provide companies and corporations with a wide array of significant benefits. First of all, using video conferences to connect with others allows businesses to enjoy significant time savings. With video conferencing solutions from quality service providers, planning and initiating video meetings can be achieved very quickly and easily. In fact, it's possible to connect with others via video meetings in a matter of minutes. Moreover, by being able to communicate with co-workers and clients without the need to leave the office, precious time no longer needs to be wasted by traveling back-and-forth across town, the country or the world.

In a similar fashion, video conferencing solutions can also lead to significant savings of money. When time delays between meetings and conversations are reduced, action can be taken faster and opportunities can be seized more quickly. In addition, when business travel is no longer necessary in order to communicate effectively with people in different locations, travel costs can be greatly reduced. After all, it's no secret that the costs of fuel, plane tickets and accommodation are becoming more and more of a concern. So whether the bulk of a company's business travel previously involved driving across the city or jetting across the ocean, video conferencing is a great solution to tight budgets.

Another important consideration in today's world is the environment. With global warming and sustainability becoming increasingly important issues for both individuals and corporations, finding ways to reduce negative impacts upon the environment is a major aspect of improving business practices. Since video conferencing solutions allow business people to connect and converse very effectively without the need for travel, this form of communication allows companies to significantly reduce their carbon footprint. As a result, it provides the benefits of face-to-face conversations without harming the environment with the excessive carbon emissions that come with traveling by land or air.

While video conferencing provides many benefits with respect to time, money and the environment, they are also extremely versatile. In fact, it can be used by companies in many different industries for many different purposes. Whether businesses operate in the investment, medical or educational sectors, video conferencing solutions can be used to provide online training sessions, to conduct long-distance interviews, to showcase new products, to conduct focus groups and to hold sales meetings. Thus, while face-to-face meetings are held for a wide variety of purposes and to achieve many different goals, video conferences are also highly flexible and can be used to connect people for a multitude of different reasons.

Considering the fact that so many companies and corporations now operate on a global scale and conduct daily operations in numerous different countries, it's understandable that business communications needs are no longer the same as they were in the past. With video conferencing solutions from leading service providers such as InterCall®, companies can save time and money while still creating and maintaining strong bonds and relationships with associates and clients around the globe. With so many excellent benefits and advantages, video conferences really are the next best thing to face-to-face conversations.

Discover The Latest In IPod Speakers

iPods have revolutionised the way in which we listen to music. Potentially thousands of your favourite songs can saved in something the size of a cigarette pack and now they are not just for personal consumption. With the correct equipment these tiny appliances can provide musical fuel for parties and annoy neighbours with top sound quality. This article provides an objective assessment of three manufacturers latest models in the iPod speaker market.

The torpedo style Bowers and Wilkins Zeppelin iPod speakers are a thing of beauty both in sound and appearance. Although it might look more at home on the set of Event Horizon the speakers look great, the only problem being is they tend to make everything else you own look outdated, including the iPod itself. The sound quality is outstanding, it has all the connections you could wish for and a bunch of other great features and the only drawback is the price which sits at 400GBP.

A step down in price is the equally originally designed Voix MPX iPod speakers which are tall and thin, shaped less like a 1930s German air blimp. They are a step down in price range at 259GBP and also a slight step down in sound quality, although you would not be able to tell apart from at a volume that you would not get to without your neighbours relocating. They are a bit bulky however they can be separated by a standard speaker wire so you can put them where you like.

A more wallet-friendly iPod speakers option is the Altec Lansing iM500 model. This is only 90GBP and is the size of a DVD case. The good news is that it has quite good sound quality, it is thin and good looking and it takes batteries so you can hook it up more or less anywhere. The bad news is that it only works well with the Nano, there is no remote control and you can potentially loose it easily, however if you are travelling it is worth checking out.

iPod speaker systems range greatly in specification and cost. The Bowers model is the top of the range and you can also hook up to other appliances with the multitude of connections such as s-video, USB and composite where the Altec model only works effectively with one model of iPod. It really depends on what your requirements are, however the Voix model looks good, is mid-range in price and will provide everything you need for domestic use.

China Think Tank Forecasts Gdp Growth at 10.2% in Q3

China will record a GDP growth of 10.2 percent in the third quarter, roughly the same as the second-quarter level, according to a report released on Friday by the State Information Center, a government think tank.

The report predicted the consumer price index (CPI), a barometer of inflation, would rise by 6.6 percent for the third quarter.

Prices of agricultural products would continue to fall, which would contribute to the stabilization of the CPI.

Some observers believed that the pressure from the rising producer price index (PPI), which gauge ex-factory prices and influences CPI, might be a concern, but even taking into consideration its impact, consumer inflation might no longer exceed the February peak (a 12-year-high of 8.7 percent) in the coming months and the first half of next year.

The report said reconstruction in disaster affected areas would add to demand for investment, and spending on energy efficiency would become a new focal point.

It predicted fixed-asset investment nationwide would reach 4.77trillion yuan (695.1 billion U.S. dollars) in the third quarter, agrowth of 27.6 percent over the same period last year. The growth rate would be 1.3 percentage points higher than the first half.

The report said consumption would continue to be a major driving force for the national economy. However, auto and home purchases ebbed notably in the first half, adversely affecting consumption in the third quarter.

It forecast retail sales at 2.61 trillion yuan nationwide in the third quarter, up 20 percent. The growth rate would be 1.4 percentage points lower than the first-half level.

Over the first six months, China's GDP growth was 10.4 percent and CPI rise was 7.9 percent.

Search Engine Results Page Ranking

A search engine results page, or SERP as it is known in short, is the listing of web pages that are displayed by a search engine in response to a keyword query. The results normally include a list of web pages with titles, a link to the page and a short description showing where the keywords have matched content within the page. A SERP may refer to a single page of links returned, or to the set of all links returned for a search query.

Some of the more major search engines such as Google and Yahoo may include different types of listings i.e. contextual algorithmic or organic as well as sponsored listings, images and maps. In order to get your website listed highly in the search engine results page you need to undertake search engine optimisation. The process of search engine optimisation or SEO as it is known in short, involves designing and promoting your website so that it is picked up by the major search engines. Without the help of SEO your website doesn't stand a chance of ranking highly in the search engine results page.

If you want your website to have more traffic driven to it and in effect gain more customers then you ideally want your website to appear within the top 30 results pages, after this 30 position you have less and less chance for someone visiting your site as they will use the help of your competitors who appear higher within the search engines.

SEO work is what will get your website into these top 30 spaces within the search engine results. This SEO work covers all aspects of search engine results including web results, image results and industry specific results.

A search engine results page is the page that appears in response to you searching for a keyword within a search engine such as Google or Yahoo. Some search engines cache SERPs for frequent searches and display the cached SERP instead of a live SERP to increase the performance of the search engine. The search engine updates the SERPs periodically to account for new pages, and possibly to modify the rankings of pages in the SERP.

SERP refreshing can take several days or weeks which can occasionally cause results to be inaccurate or out of date, and new sites and pages to be completely absent. If you want your website to have the best possible chance of ranking highly within the search engines then you need to keep in mind the design and content of your website. For example it is important to have unique Meta data on as many pages of your website as possible. You should make sure that these are different as search engines want to know that every page of your website is different. Another way to make sure that every page of your website is different is by ensuring that every page of your website has unique text and information; you should try to write specific text for every page of your website.

If you have a 50 page website and every page has unique content but all the titles and descriptions are the same then a web surfer will have a hard time determining which page of your website is worth visiting and in effect won't use your site.

As long as you enlist the help of an SEO specialist to make sure that your site is designed and promoted in the correct way you will give yourself the best chance of appearing in the top 30 results of the major search engines.

Samsung i550w - the i550 with WiFi

Samsung i550w

Samsung keeps adding cool Symbian S60 devices to its portfolio. Following the Samsung G810 smartphone launch which left many speechless — because of the 5 megapixel camera with 3x optical zoom — they are now updating the i550 model. Basically, the new i500w smartphone has everything the previous model had — including the built-in GPS, HSDPA, 2.6″ QVGA screen, 3.5 mm audio jack, GM radio, Bluetooth 2.0 and microSD slot — and adds WiFi support on top of that. The end result is one of the best Symbian S60 smartphones to date, which goes head to head with such Nokia models like the N95 8GB and N82. S60 space is getting more interesting every day. We’ll see where this goes…

How to: Remove Shared documents from Windows XP

Have you ever noticed that Shared documents icon that always shows up inside the My Computer folder? Windows uses it to store media files shared by different users of the same computer, but if you’re the only user in your PC then that icon is simply useless. This is why I’m going to explain a couple of tricks to get rid of it.

The first trick requires downloading TweakUI, a handy Windows app that lets you tweak hidden options in Windows. Run the program, go to My Computer and uncheck the “Files stored on this computer” option. The shared documents will disappear!

The second trick only works if you have Windows XP Professional. Click on the Start button, select Run and enter gpedit.msc to open the Group Policy editor. Here, go to User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components and click on Windows Explorer. On the right pane list, towards the end, you’ll see the option “Remove Shared documents from My Computer”. Double click it, select Enabled and you’re done.

Howto Anything.: How to Say Hello in Different Languages

PHP Linux installation or php upgrade howto

Q. How do I install PHP under Red Hat enterprise Linux?

A. PHP (Hypertext Preprocesso) is a server-side web programming language that you can embed into HTML pages. When a user accesses a PHP-based page, PHP dynamically creates a web page that is then passed to the browser.

PHP works with Apache, Lighttpd and other webservers. PHP offers built-in database integration for several commercial and non-commercial database management systems. It also has the ability to perform many useful Web-related tasks using a large set of built-in functions.

PHP generally runs on a web server, taking PHP code as its input and creating Web pages as output, but command-line scripting and client-side GUI applications are part of the three primary uses of PHP as well. PHP can be deployed on any web server and on almost every OS platform free of charge.

Installing PHP is easy these days.

How to Travel With One Bag

In this age of airline fare wars, globalization, and the Euro, traveling across multiple borders is increasingly common. Combined with the horror stories of lost luggage that never made it to the baggage claim, the option of traveling with just one bag is becoming more and more attractive. Unless your trip is highly specialized or requires carrying certain items, it is possible to travel and even live indefinitely out of one bag. Here's how.

Step

1. Get a bag with shoulder or back straps and plenty of pockets. The bag need not be huge, since one will not carry much.
2. Gather the following:

* Three changes of clothing (at most)
* Laundry detergent for washing by hand (powdered is much easier to handle than liquid, and allowed on airplanes.)
* A universal sink stopper (available at any hardware store). A rubber ball is a good alternative.
* A portable clothesline (available at any camping or travel goods store)
* Toiletries
3. Pack using the "bundle" method: wrap clothes around large objects (such as bags of toiletries or pairs of shoes), rather than folding or rolling clothes. Stuff underwear and socks into shoes to save space and to prevent crushing shoes. The bundle method saves the most space and also prevents wrinkling.
4. Buy toiletries in miniature or transfer liquid contents like shampoo into smaller travel bottles. Save hotel/airplane toiletries so you can pack them the next time you travel.
5. Put toiletries that could leak (shampoo, gel, etc.) in plastic bags to avoid the hassle of having your clothes covered in liquid soap. Bags are also useful if clothing doesn't completely dry overnight.
6. Due to airline security issues, you should use solids rather than liquids. Shampoo is available in solid soap-block form. Better yet, purchase toiletries at your destination to avoid security issues. They may be cheaper too depending on the currency.
7. Minimize the number of items that require electricity, as converters can be costly and space-consuming. Portable electronics often run on batteries, and shaving, of course, can be done by hand.
8. Mail home or give away items not necessary for traveling, such as finished books or souvenirs. Trading books is a great free way to keep one's travel library fresh. Also check out www.bookcrossing.com - here you can leave books for others to pick up and find books wherever you might be in the world that others have left behind (bookcrossers leave notes about the books, you can read where the book's been, reviews, etc.). You should be able to fit a sheet of labels in your bag to stick on the books...or better yet print them out from a public computer in an internet cafe...

Tip
* Even if you are checking one main bag, be sure to take one change of clothing and all your important items (documents, prescriptions, etc.) with you in a carry-on bag in case your checked luggage is delayed or lost.
* Most youth hostels have laundry rooms and most hotels have laundry services.
* If you must carry more clothing, try to pack things that are disposable or cheap to replace. This can apply to underwear, T-shirts, jeans, etc.
* Bring one set of basics for each day of travel: underwear, socks, etc. If the trip is more than 5-7 days, then plan on washing clothes.
* An alternative to packing extra clothing wearing the layered look. For example, you could wear a sweater with a shirt underneath. This is a good idea anyway, since it helps you cope with unexpected weather changes.
* If the trip is longer than a few days, you may consider doing what certain travel writers do: take only the essentials with you on the plane and ship everything else to your final destination (if possible). Buy insurance to cover any damage your stuff may incur when it is shipped.
* If you are bringing a purse, try to fit it in your larger bag. That way, you'll have less stuff to lug around.
* Wear clothing with pockets whenever possible so that your essentials (ID, passport, credit card, money, hotel key) are on your person at all times.
* Make 2 photocopies of the front and back of your credit cards, travelers checks, passport and ID. Leave one at home with someone you can call, and keep one in a secure place at your destination. That way if anything gets stolen you will have the information when reporting it. If you have access to a scanner, you can scan everything and email it to yourself or store it securely online. A digital camera works pretty well as a 'scanner.'
* Keep money in several different places (your pants pocket, your jacket, two different places in your purse and/or main bag), so you won't lose everything in the event of a robbery.
* If you don't own clothing with pockets, you don't need a new wardrobe. Get a money belt or pouch. These items can be hidden underneath your clothes. Under the sole of your shoe is a good place to keep larger bills.
* Consider fast-wicking (drying) expedition clothing. These clothes are designed for frequent washing, high durability, and are rated by "zones"for specific climates.
* An empty compactable duffel bag can be attached to your main bag and can be used if you find yourself in need of more than one bag.
* To prevent shampoo bottles from leaking, take a good size piece of plastic (like a piece of trash bag or sandwich bag) unscrew the lid off of the shampoo, cover the hole and then screw the lid back on. Make sure the plastic is sticking out around all sides of the lid.
* With clothes that you aren't concerned about wrinkling (T-Shirts, Jeans, Underwear, etc.), you can minimize the space in the bag by rolling them up rather than folding them.
* Using a PDA to read books will save space and weight even when taking the charger into account - and you can download new books at any internet cafe (or WiFi hotspot with the right hardware). Be sure to pick one with good battery life and screen.
* If you are going for a longer trip or holiday, consider buying a local wardrobe once you have arrived at your destination - not only will you travel much lighter, you'll end up not looking like a tourist!
* Consider mailing some items ahead - pick light-weight, bulky items to mail.
* Pick neutral colors so your outfits are easier to match.
* Wear hand-washable travel underwear such as Ex-Officio Boxer-Briefs (not a shameless plug, they're just the best), which are extremely breathable, keep you comfortable, and air-dry within hours.
* Keep a list of hostels available to you. Sure they may get crowded but they are cheap lodgings in the event you can find nothing else.

Wornning
* Buy locks for zippers on your bag. Tourist attractions and public places often attract pickpockets. However, recognize that a locked-up zipper can cause problems at airport security (unless you have a TSA-approved lock) and potentially attract the attention of thieves. Consider this option wisely: A 'locked' bag may dissuade opportunistic theft, but if someone is determined to get into your bag, they will just cut it open with a knife (e.g., backpacks). You will then have the additional problem of having to replace your bag in a foreign country.
* Avoid fanny packs. Not only are they unfashionable, they draw unnecessary attention and make you look like a tourist (read: prime mugging target).
* As an alternative to locks, consider using small cable ties. Although not a complete deterrent, a helpful tool to add an element of protection while letting customs/security cut through if need be without destroying a nice lock.
* Try to avoid putting valuables in any checked bag - that's the best theft deterrent! Bring valuables onto the plane in your carry-on bag.
* Always make sure your carry-on bags have ID tags on them in case you leave one in the airport or on a plane.
* Check the TSA website for restricted items before packing.

How Do I Copy and Rename Linux Files?

Copying Files

Copying files under Linux is similar to copying files under DOS. Here's an example using the cp (copy) command:
$ cp goulash recipes/hungarian
$ cp stuff stuff.bak

The first example copies the goulash file from the current directory and stores it in your recipes/hungarian directory. The second example creates a file called stuff.bak in the current directory that is identical to the source file stuff.

Note: The cp command will overwrite files with the same name without warning. To be prompted before overwriting, use the -i flag, like so:

$ cp -i goulash recipes/hungarian
cp: overwrite recipes/hungarian/goulash (y/n)?

Renaming Files

Use the mv command to rename a file or move it to another directory, like so:

$ mv stuff junk
$ mv junk trashcan

The first example renames the file stuff as junk, and the second moves the file junk into a directory called trashcan.

Note: The mv command will wipe out files without warning. To be prompted before overwriting, use the -i flag, like so:

$ mv -i stuff junk
mv: overwrite junk (y/n)?

How do I Delete Files and Directories?

Ready to do a little damage? The rm command removes a file (assuming you have permission to do so) without even saying hasta la vista. Be sure you really want to delete your files before you use rm, because once the files are gone, they're not coming back. For example,

$ rm wallet

immediately deletes the file named wallet in the current directory without prompting. If you want to be prompted before the deletion, use the -i flag.

Note: There is one little safety feature in rm--it won't delete a directory (unless you use the -r flag).

One other rm flag is -f, which translates roughly to "Don't ask me any questions--just delete the files." While rm normally asks for confirmation before deleting a write-protected file, the -f (force) flag overrides this prompt.

Be careful with the rm command, since the multiuser nature of Linux does not allow for undelete as in DOS. As soon as you let go of the space occupied by a file, the operating system is likely to use it for something else.

Deleting Directories

If you created a directory named spelunking six months ago, and now you're not so keen on crawling through slimy caves, the rmdir command may be able to help:

$ rmdir spelunking

This command removes the specified directory, but only if it's empty. If the directory contains files or subdirectories, you'll have to delete them using rm first.

One alternative to painstakingly removing all the contents of a directory that you just want to make disappear is to use the rm -r command. The -r flag gives rm license to kill directories, their files, and even their subdirectories. Be very sure you understand what's about to happen before using a command like this:

$ rm -r spelunking

Let's just say that careless use of the -r flag might end your spelunking hobby prematurely.

Janโดนไวรัส music.exe ( Win32/VB.NIV worm ) เล่นงาน

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run]
แล้วลบ music.exe
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] “music”=”C:\\music.exe” และ C:\WINDOWS\backup.reg
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] “music”=”C:\\music.exe”

Advantages of a Custom Website versus using a Website Builder Tool

Advantages of a Custom Website versus using a Website Builder Tool

Advantages of a custom website versus using a Website Builder Tool

The internet has revolutionized business all around the globe. Almost every competent new or existing business wishes to exploit the incredible potential of the internet, and the first step is to have a web site designed done and maintained by a professional web site design service or build and maintain it yourself. One of the first things to consider is your computer ability. If you despise computers and software and find them confusing and frustrating then building your own website can be quite a task. One that you may not want to undertake. However, if you enjoy working with computers and learning new things or if you just have the patience to stick with it, then building a website is within your grasp. You may also decide to do it yourself to save cost. If you still feel that you want to build your own site you should choose software that is easy to use and user friendly.

Your website should be as unique as you and your business. You should select the website that is specialized in what will meet all your needs, both now and in the future. Custom based websites are for those who already have a website but are looking for those special finishing touches that quality custom graphics can provide. Designer graphics can make your website stand out above the rest and a custom website specializes in taking your original graphic or photo and turning it into a unique work of art. Quality graphics make an incredible difference in the visual appeal of your website.

Actual site "content" continues to be essential to the success of a website. More often than not though, visual appeal is the determining factor as to whether or not a client or customer will remain on a website long enough, to actually see the product or service the business is providing. Custom websites are for those who don’t have the time to design or create, but want to get things mush better and fast with a nice graphics.

Web site builders are online tools which anyone can use to build a professional looking Web site without programming and have it hosted instantly. No software to buy, no code to learn, all you need is to be a little Internet savvy and know how to click your mouse.

Most business owners today know that having a web site is an essential component of marketing. In the past, the choices were to hire a professional web designer, hire a local teenager to create a site for mall money, or learn to do it yourself. The last two options, are the least expensive, and were the preferred method for small businesses. The results are often not what businesses need to grow, reach, and impress new potential customers, however. They seem good at the start but quickly become limiting.

If you operate or manage a business, you surely must realize the increase in e-commerce taking place today. Many businesses find themselves searching for the best way to increase their exposure on the internet, and for most a website is the first course of action. As most businesses operate on firm budgets, finding cost effective solutions are usually one of the first thoughts when looking to make new purchases. When it comes to creating a website there are many affordable software programs that can produce professional results. Business software should be capable of handling your needs today and in the future. Business are always changing, adding new products, changing or removing old products, offering specials, having sales, etc. By choosing a business website builder over a professional web designer you will be able to make changes to your website whenever you want to. Another benefit is that you will be avoiding the high costs associated with developing the website and costs for making any necessary changes.

Website Builder tools advantages to you are increased revenue, cost control, caters to the large demand existing for web designing in the SME sector and can increase the client base without adding to your overhead. The advantage that your customers gets is a professional quality website, up and running in minutes and a User friendly and easily customizable interfaces that gives a complete website with all its frills and features and a nice attractive design. The downside is that you are limited to the look and functions of the tool and the templates or designs they provide.

On of the advantage of a custom website design is that the web site will look and function exactly as you want. A custom made web site can promote your brand and increase sales. The functionality and design of your website is important, because the images and text on the screen can make an indifferent visitor turn into a keen client, and the goal is to optimize your site to evolve maximum traffic conversion.

As more and more people are starting their own small home business many are finding that having a website is an important factor to consider. When one starts to consider building a website, especially the novice, many questions arise including…. can I create a website myself or should I hire a professional?

Hiring a professional is a great way to go if you can afford it. Although there are several things to keep in mind: how much will it cost? How much will ongoing maintenance cost? What will changes cost? How long will changes take? etc. As a result, many people opt to build their own website and begin searching for software that can easily help them.

As you start searching for an easy web site builder, there are some factors that you should take into consideration so that your new software will serve you now and the future.

There is quite a variety of easy web site building software and content management(CMS) based websites on the market today. In addition, some of the software available today is very expensive, geared more for the professional web designer, and come with a huge learning curve.

The options for small businesses to get a site developed have changed from the past. There are now sophisticated "site builder" tools available to small business owners, bundled with many web hosting packages. By using templates, and a content management system to manage updates to the site, it became easier to set up and maintain a web site, and many development companies have canned this functionality, for a fee. Hosting providers are increasingly offering tools to automate the web site building process, and with good reason. This new option has many benefits, as long as the business owner recognizes that there are trade offs and limitations to getting a web site this way. Some of the downsides are…the design is limited to their predefined templates. The functionality is limited to the tool. Also, in most website builder tools it is hard to perform search engine optimization, which is essential for a site to be found in the major search engines.

One of the biggest attractions for site building tools is the cost. It won't necessarily cost less to get your site this way, but it does provide a way to spread the cost over time. The cost for a custom website varies as per the feature and function it carries with itself.

Many people are concerned with building their own website, fearing boring designs and complexity. However, it is now becoming apparent that there are many custom web site builder software products on the market that promise dynamic layouts, professional templates, and user friendly web design tools. The professional web designers know there are a few more things to know, but sometimes they find some irony in the fact that web developers, in their quest to improve and better the web, have made themselves "optional". Most site building tools today are very robust, making it simple to add forms, searching, maps, guest books, calendars, and a whole variety of elements to a web site. Even better, the hosting company sometimes offers an entire suite of services - the site builder, email marketing, search engine optimization and statistics, all in one package along with the hosting.

There is also a possibility that the service will require you to keep some branding on the site telling people that you used their website designs and tools. This is more common with the free site builders - which pay for themselves by putting ads on your site. If your goal is to build a business web site, it's really not worth sacrificing your professional image by getting something free, which screams CHEAP.

Low quality websites sometimes attempt to sell expensive products or services. These websites cannot succeed. Studies reveals people spend more time on a well designed web page than on a low quality web page. There is a comparative relationship between the amount of time that an average visitor will spend on a web page and the amount of time that was spent building the web page.

Websites are an important aspect of online businesses. They are the first face of interaction between the user and the business. The website creates the first impression on the user and hence needs to be effective and impressive too. It is the job of web design services to make the website user friendly and search engine friendly too, so that it can serve the purpose of both effectively.

A tool can make things happen - but if you don't know what to make happen, it is either a useless tool or a dangerous one. There is a learning curve in knowing how to present information online (called information architecture in the profession), as well as for using the site builder. In other word, the fuller featured the tool; the more there is to learn. If you aren't familiar with color theory, use of typography, information architecture, navigation and interface design, and page layout and design, you can potentially make something that will hurt your business more than help it. So, unless you are already computer and web savvy, figuring out all the features within your web hosting and site builder package can be time consuming and frustrating.

In the end there are ways that a business can take advantage of these new options and still create a functional and professional web site. One way is simply take your time and research the available website templates, and find the one that has the most features and flexibility, that meet your functional requirements. In other words, spend the time to learn the things a seasoned pro would bring to the table. The internet is a massive library of "how to" information, where you can literally teach yourself anything - and with enough time spent, you could potentially learn how to layout information, what colors and fonts work well together, how to conduct your marketing online and optimize the site for search engines. The second is choosing the best suitable custom website design company and work with them to build a professional website that meets your needs get your imaginations carried and make business a greta success.

Dos & Don’ts for running a successful Software Company Managing Director, Vnet Capital Co., Ltd.
